On average (2015-2019), over 2 million MT of shelled peanut were traded worldwide, India and Argentina being the first and second top exporting countries respectively (Table 10).
Argentina and the USA, although not ranking first among producing countries volume-wise, are significant exporters.
As previously observed for walnuts, China, while the major peanut producer, ranked fourth as an exporter, indicating that there was an important level of domestic consumption and usage as well.
Imports were fairly equally distributed among South East Asia and Europe (Table 10).
