5.7. World Pine Nut Exports and Imports
China was the world top pine nut exporter (average 2015-2019), amounting to around 13,800 MT of shelled pine nuts and 64% of the world share.
Turkey and Italy were the main exporting countries of Mediterranean pine nuts (Table 7).
China, Germany and the USA ranked first as importing countries with 57% of the share, followed by Italy, and the Netherlands accounting for 9% and 7%, respectively (Table 7).
