Projections for this year are of an average crop of around 12.6 million barrels, after three years of low crops and carry-in inventories in a row. It is estimated that it is going to take about two years of average or above-average crops for the industry to recover floor stock. Currently the shipping is being manufactured straight away without holding any inventory. The carry-in for 2021 is expected to be 2.7 million barrels, below the amount needed to cover the dried fruit production until the new crop can start being dried in November.
