1.1. World Almond Production

Almond ranks first in terms of tree nut production volumes, reaching over 1.5 million MT in 2022/23, 9% down from the previous season, but 17% over 2018/19 levels (Figure 2).

The USA leads the world production, accounting for approximately 78% of the share, followed by Australia and Spain in smaller quantities (7% and 6% respectively) (Figure 4).
