1.3. World Cashew Production
Cashew was the world third most produced tree nut in 2022/23 season (Figure 2), totaling around 1.1 M MT (kernel basis).
nThe last 5-year the total crop average was estimated at ca. 903,250 MT. Western Africa (led by Cu00f4te du2019Ivoire as the top producer in the region and followed by Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau, Benin and Ghana), India, Cambodia and Viet Nam are the worldu2019s biggest cashew producers (Figure 6).
nIndia and Viet Nam are also the top processor countries of raw cashew nuts (RCN).
