1.6. World Pecan Production

Global pecan production showed an increasing trend, adding up to around 153,900 MT (kernel basis) in 2022/23 (Figure 3). Over the last 5 years it averaged ca.153,000 MT.

North America leads the world pecan production. Mexico and the USA accounted for 49% and 40% of the world production respectively. Nonetheless, there is also smaller production in South Africa, Brazil and Australia (Figure 9).
