1.8. World Pistachio Production
Pistachios were the fourth most produced nut during the 2022/23 season (Figure 2), adding up to around 747,400 MT (in-shell basis).
nAveraged over the last five years, world pistachio production reached about 801,900 MT.
nThe USA, Tu00fcrkiye and Iran were the top producers, accounting for 55%, 22% and 18% of the world production (5-year average) respectively; adding up to 95% of the world share (Figure 11).
