1.9. World Walnut Production
In 2022/23, global walnut production, estimated at over 1.1 M MT (kernel basis), ranked second after almonds (Figure 2). 5-year average world walnut production amounted to ca. 991,600 MT.
nChina and the USA were the worldu2019s two top producing countries, accounting for 48% and 28% of the world share respectively. Chile, Ukraine and Iran completed the ranking (Figure 12).
