5.2. World Brazil (Amazonia) Nut Exports and Imports
Bolivia as the major Brazil nut producer, was by far the top exporter on average over the 2018-2022 period, accounting for 55% of the world share.
It was followed by the other biggest producing countries, Brazil and Peru, whose exports totaled 12% and 10%, respectively (Table 2).
Germany, the Netherlands and the UK added up to 42% of the world share of Brazil nut imports. Accounting for 14% of the global imports, the USA ranked third, and South Korea remains among the top five (Table 2).
