7.1. World Date Exports and Imports

On average, over 1.2 MT of dates were traded per year between 2015 and 2019. With 21% of the world share, Iraq was the biggest exporting country, followed by the UAE, Iran, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia raging between 10% and 19% (Table 11).

India was the leading importing country, concentrating 32% of the world imports (Table 11). The rest of the imports were widely distributed around the world.
